Re: Fess up: What did you do on the machine today?

I spent my time doing endless drills to correct an early backswing habit I discovered recently after doing a video of my form. Rrrrrr Not happy. Good that you’re trying to catch it now. I’ve noticed I’ve developed a weird wobble of my shoulders at the catch. If it’s not one thing, it’s another!!

Re: Fess up: What did you do on the machine today?

I don't often venture into top tier territory but I decided to have a go at the 45 seconds to 2 minutes 15 seconds ladder (No 1 on the top tier YouTube playlist). Well that blew out some cobwebs. Happy with the results. My notional 2k pace is 2:00 so I was pleased to see 1:5x throughout and closer ...

Re: Fess up: What did you do on the machine today?

Today, I Kayaked 9km in the morning (not fast) and then had a HYROX simulation in the afternoon.

I think I’ll sleep well tonight!! Although I’m up early for the EXR Group row…

Great rowing everyone!

Re: Fess up: What did you do on the machine today?

Just started the get fit by rowing series and it seems I need it badly :( Don't sweat the numbers (no pun intended) right now. If you're unfit and packing a bit too much love, then you just need to get moving and burn some calories. If you DO want to chase Zone2 - then you'll find your body is gett...

Re: Fess up: What did you do on the machine today?

Great result. It’s a really good session. The two toughest parts are allowing 5 minutes rest; and then the final interval!!

Re: Feedback and suggestions

Brilliant idea but can I suggest a modification? Instead of a separate board with individual threads for our workouts, how about a single ongoing thread: "What did you do today?" or suchlike. Hopefully this would encourage us to reply to and compliment on others' workouts before posting o...

Re: Rates of Calorie burn and recovery

Are you using the Concept2 readout for your 900Kcal amount? It can be a little off. That said, you're probably still going to be around 800 per hour. If you exercise, you're going to use energy. There's no real way around this. The best thing you can do is to fuel your body properly. Everyone's &quo...
